Hello friend! I'm Kayla, a traveling wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Boise, Idaho. My passion for people and photography goes back as far as I can remember. When I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing, I took my friend's senior photos and I officially started my business shortly after finishing orientation at the hospital. My values I've had in nursing are congruent with how I capture the world - welcoming, empathetic, sensitive, honest, heartfelt, and fun-loving. Cracking a silly joke to lighten up any scenario and create a sense of comfortability is a skill I am proud to have. All jokes aside, I've been a wedding photographer for 4 years but have lived behind the camera since I was 8. I've become so immersed with the connection of my clients and friends, I find the utmost joy in capturing their biggest moments. Unhinged emotions, a documentary style approach, and thoughtful composition with an editorial twist is truly what inspires me above all else!
I am honored to have been featured in 100 Layer Cake and Rocky Mountain Bride
Kayla is hands down the easiest recommendation I’ve ever made! She takes stunning photos and has an amazing ability to make you feel at ease in front of the camera. Her high energy, attention, and loving personality shine through every session, making the experience incredibly enjoyable. We hired her for our engagement shoot, and she was the perfect fit for our wedding day! The photos were magical, capturing not just images but the emotions and essence of the day. We relive those moments with so much joy whenever we look through our album. Our family and friends raved about her, and she quickly became our favorite vendor. I can’t wait to book more sessions with her as we move through life's many milestones. She’s truly a gem! She captures emotion, not just pictures. You won’t be disappointed with Kayla as your photographer!

Where do I even begin with Kayla!! We found our photographer for life and feel so lucky to have had her by our side on our wedding day. She’s incredibly talented, and from the moment we met her, we instantly clicked. She made us feel so comfortable and captured all the emotions, our personalities, candid shots, every detail, and the overall vibe perfectly. Not only is she talented, but she’s also the easiest person to get along with and became a true part of our wedding day. Kayla was the best hype woman, support, and friend, while still capturing every important moment. We were speechless when we saw the final pictures – they looked like my Pinterest board! Kayla went above and beyond, exceeding all expectations. We’re so grateful for the memories she gave us that will last a lifetime!

Kayla was such an amazing asset to our wedding! She saved the day multiple times and didn’t hesitate to help out even when it wasn’t her job. Kayla was a joy to work with – knowledgeable, responsive, and clear about our vision for capturing the day. She’s a breath of fresh air, which is rare in the wedding industry. My photos are unique and beautiful, capturing our wedding in a way I never imagined – magazine-worthy! She’s amazing to work with, so do yourself a favor and just book her!

I met my husband, Rob, while working at a coffee shop in 2015—I served him his first coffee on the day he moved to Boise from Chicago! Shortly after, he applied to work at the same shop, and we spent four years as coworkers and friends. I was always drawn to his kindness and welcoming spirit—the way he makes anyone feel important and heard in any room, while also reminding me not to take life too seriously. I tend to look far into the future, while Rob grounds me—encouraging me to enjoy the present and stay silly through both the easy and most challenging days life brings. He proposed after two years of dating, under a disco-ball-lit field in the middle of summer.
We have been married for 3 years now with our miniature dachshund! We enjoy distance running, exploring restaurants and cocktail bars, skiing/snowboarding, traveling back to Chicago to visit family, watching movies, and traveling to new destinations.
